About these terms

Owntrance is run by [operator: your full name or business name] ("we"). These terms cover this website, the Owntrance app, and its features for sharing videos to social platforms. You need to be 18 or over to use Owntrance. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Self-help, not medical advice

Owntrance offers self-hypnosis for personal growth. It isn't medical advice, diagnosis, therapy or treatment, and it doesn't replace care from a qualified professional. If you're struggling, or if phone or social media use is seriously harming your life, please talk to a professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Never listen to a session while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your full attention.

Your voice

  • Only record and clone your own voice, or a voice whose owner has given you clear permission.
  • Your voice copy is used only to read your own sessions.
  • Keep your private Owntrance link to yourself. Anyone with the link can open your sessions.

Your content and posts

  • What you create with Owntrance is yours. You give us permission to store, process and render it only as needed to provide Owntrance to you.
  • You must own, or have the rights to, everything you post through Owntrance, including any voice, music, footage or text in it.
  • When you post to TikTok or any other platform, you're the publisher and you're responsible for that post. You choose what's posted and how; Owntrance never posts without your instruction.
  • Follow each platform's rules, including labelling AI-generated or AI-voiced content where they require it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Owntrance to:

  • break the law, or post anything illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
  • impersonate someone, or clone or use a voice without its owner's permission;
  • mislead people, for example by passing off AI-voiced content as something it isn't;
  • target or exploit children;
  • spam, scrape, overload, break into or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits.

Other platforms

Sharing to TikTok uses TikTok's own services, so the TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok's privacy policy also apply. Owntrance isn't affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok or any other platform, and we're not responsible for their services.

The service

Owntrance is in early testing. Features may change, pause or stop, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We'll try to give notice of big changes.

No warranty

Owntrance is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise any particular result from using it, or that it will always work without errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything you post to other platforms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Ending

You can stop using Owntrance at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell people in the app or on the waitlist before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Owntrance after that, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law: country or state to be added].
